Welcome Cousin Thomas Michael Woods!

KK and D:  Ok, back to June.....On Saturday, June 22nd, we were getting ready to host 40 people at our house for Daddy's work picnic.   Bounce house and all - yeah!!!  We were out running some last minute errands to get ready, when we got a call that Auntie Rochelle had gone into labor.   But, her contractions were neither consistent, nor close together, and since she's a couple weeks early, we thought this was just a false alarm.   Boy were we wrong!!!!   An hour or so later we got another call that it was GO TIME - she's fully in labor and this baby is coming TODAY!    In true Woods' style we frantically started searching the web for plane tickets - found some for the whole family just two hours from then and we immediately set our plan in action.   Cancel picnic - check.   Pack all four of us as fast as possible - check.   Run to airport - check.   Stuff fast food in our face during takeoff - check.
Act antsy, anxious, hectic - check.
Nap - check.  Rent car - check.  Race to hospital in downtown San Francisco - check!
Try to wait patiently behind some line for the hospital door to open - check! (barely...)
Make it in time for the birth - fail....
Yep, Auntie Rochelle had a very fast delivery with a little bit of a scary situation when the cord was wrapped around the baby's neck and it was pretty intense to get him out ASAP.  I'm glad we missed the scary part.
The big moment was finally here - surprising Uncle Drewsy and Auntie Rochelle!  We are ALL here!!!!!
And most importantly, meeting Thomas Michael Woods for the very first time!

He's just perfect and Auntie Rochelle looks amazing!
Extra bonus of Baby Thomas being born in San Francisco is time with our other cousins.
Hi Baby Owey!!!!!

Phew - that BIG hill by Lala's house exhausted us.
Cheers cousin!

Silly Grammy and Papa.
Staring contest with D.

Everybody wants to feed Papa.

A special treat for a cold San Francisco Summer Day - Monsters Inc in the movie theater!!!
Hello Baby Thomas.   Welcome to the Woods Family!
We love you already cousin.
He's so little!
Comparing to Owen - he's a little bean.

Beautiful boy.
We love you already little T.
More fun & games at Lala and Uncle Matthew's.

And some real CITY adventures - planes, trains, busses and automobiles!

Daddy jetted off to Philadelphia for work on Monday morning and the remaining three of us headed home.  It was SUCH a good thing that we left plenty of time because the rental train kept breaking down!  No like choo-choos that don't move-move.

What a whirlwind, crazy, hectic, frantic and TOTALLY AWESOME adventure to meet our new cousin, Thomas.
Family comes first.
We'd have it no other way!
