Thankfully Daddy can hold down the fort no problem....painting nails, fixing all the meals, taking us to and from school, he's a pretty awesome rock star Daddy.
Skyping with Grammy and Papa was a fun distraction this week too.
Meanwhile....Mommy is "roughing" it in San Francisco. Lots of speaking sessions to manage, lots of meetings to attend, lots of fancy meals to endure...
Oh and she just so happened to be there for one of the top three sports comebacks in the history of sport, as the Team USA America's Cup boat came back from a huge margin of defeat (down 8 - 1!!!) to win several races in a row and eventually take home the trophy. (The Mercury News described it well, I'll copy it at the end for fun.)
And did I mention that she just so happened to be amongst the last people admitted to the Oracle VIP Lounge on the Pier and watched the final race rubbing elbows with the VIPs, while sipping champagne?!!??!!!
It was epic. Here is the incredible boat right after they won!!

And then she got to go next door to the Louis Vuitton VIP Lounge to watch the cup presentation. At one point the cup was literally one foot away from Mom. I wish we were there too!!
Mommy came back and we headed straight into a great weekend with our friends. Including Mac & Cheese cook-off night! Daddy was one of the finalists.
We were very excited to have Mommy back.
Thanks Daddy for a great week and for taking such great care of us while Mommy was gone!

A
remarkable comeback was completed with the conclusion of the America's
Cup finals, sailing's three-week-long Super Bowl. The Oracle Team USA
boat owned by Bay Area billionaire Larry Ellison did something
unprecedented in an unprecedented best-of-17 series that actually went
19 races and ended in a defeat of Emirates Team New Zealand. Improbable is not an adequate word to describe the result, really. Back on September 19 when Team USA scored a rare victory to pull back within 8-2 on the scoreboard, at least one observer asserted that there was still no way the Oracle boat would win because the USA comeback effort was totally, utterly doomed.
I'm not a fan of hyperbole. But I think it's safe to say that this was the greatest comeback in the history of sports. No other competition at this level has a best-of-17 format. That's why it is difficult to compare Oracle Team USA's achievement to anything else. No baseball team has ever trailed in a World Series by seven games because if you fall behind by four games, you lose. In the World Cup of soccer, you can't lose eight games and stick around. Just getting a high-tech boat to hold together properly for eight races with no breakdowns is difficult."
