San Diego Wild Animals (Us....of course!)

KK and D:  The weekend of November 24th we headed off on our first overnight, out-of-town trip with our buddies, just about and hour and a half south to San Diego.  Only the Dennis clan out of our group of close friends was missing.

First stop - the Wild Animal Park outside of San Diego.
Giddy up Rhino!
Cutest bat-ear foxes you've ever seen!
Much to Mommy's surprise, the big hit was the penny smushing machine.
We had a line going.

The highlight was the tram ride.  Wind in our hair, animals at our reach.
 Love my girl Hailey.

 Hello pretty kitty....
No joke, look at how close we are!

Riding in style - we took turns in and out and in and out of the double stroller.
Kinda like Mommy's mini-van - not as hip for the Mommy's but totally wicked for the kids.
Boys, stand against the side for a picture.....yeah right!
Four little friends, all in a row.
 Sweet girls.
 The whole gang.
And Gavin's on the run....

Two bummers from the weekend....Daddy was in Dallas on a work trip.  He was enjoying nice food and all but totally missing out on the fun.   And, check out the high in Dallas tomorrow....37 degrees FOR THE HIGH!!!   Daddy was one cold fellow and unprepared for such freezing temps.  Who knew Dallas could be so cold????

Other bummer....Mommy's phone got stolen at dinner this night when we went out for Mexican in the Gas Lamp District.   Even a Ghiradelli hot fudge sundae couldn't ease her pain.   It made for a looooong night for us and a late bed time as we waited with Mommy while the restaurant tried to look through their video footage.   Poor Mommy pushed us to the hotel alone that night and cried the whole way.  Mean people steal - that was our lesson for the trip.
Thankfully, we all slept pretty well and headed out for a killer breakfast at a local diner over on Coronado Island.   Chocolate chip pancakes for everyone!!!!   (Except the adults who love things like fried eggs and biscuits - Daddy is really sad to miss this one).

The it was off to the beach on Coronado to frolic in the sand.

 Digging for treasure.

 Jumping for joy.
 Loves.

Cute pics of Auntie Cole, the baby in her tummy, Gavin and Uncle Ryan.

 Group hug!!!

What a great weekend with our buddies in San Diego!!!!!!
Yeah friends!
